Owners & Trainers - Getting Pet Ready
Setting each greyhound up for success
Having your greyhound Pet Ready is important to ensuring a smooth transition to their new life with a new family.
Under the NSW Code of Practice, from January 1, participants are required to give a greyhound 30 days wind down prior to rehoming. This transition period is important to allowing each greyhound to change their routine and diet as they become a companion animal. It is also a critical window for the owner and trainer to ensure all the relevant paperwork is completed and additional training that might be needed is undertaken.
